----- The Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix



We spent a very hot afternoon in the sun here, although enjoying the beautiful desert wild-flowers and flowering cactus plants.
-----Left: the Mammillaria cactus and its pretty flowers.
-----Right: in the foreground, a prickly pear cactus with its flowers, and in the background, an aloe, an ocotillo, a saguaro, an organ pipe, and an agave cactus.




We also payed extra to see their Butterfly Garden, which was not nearly as large as the one we visited in Hershey, PA.
-----Left: a gorgeous orange agave.
-----Right: a purple prickly pear cactus.
