-----Upper Right: part of the path we walked for the two hours.
-----Middle Left & Middle Right: views of the "puya bertero-niana", a very rare desert flower that bloomed this week - shades of blue & green.
This park was recom-mended as a nice day trip - it was less than 45 minutes to the east. We got there in time for the 1:00 PM guided tour, which took about two hours. Then, in the picnic pavillion, we enjoyed the picnic lunch we brought. -----Lower Left: an absolutely gorgeous pink cactus flower.
-----Lower Right: a Mexican Golden Poppy. We're now joining the other desert viewers who get all excited by the lush and vibrant flowers that bloom here.
