We took a verrry long walk on the beach from Nehalem Bay, through the town of Manzanita, into the upscale town of Cannon Beach, rewarding ourselves with a cappuccino & a cookie at the Cannon Beach Bakery.
---Right: the most-photographed off-shore rock: Haystack Rock, at a height of 235 feet, was formed millions of years ago. You can walk over to it during low tide.
---Left: beach houses in Manzanita. All of the beaches, unless there is none due to the rocks, are accessible to beachwalkers - very different from NJ beaches.
