Mount Rainier, WA

We were really looking forward to visiting Mount Rainier National Park, with an area of 370 square miles, to try to get up close and personal to this most beautiful mountain, but alas, we were thworted by rain.

This view of Mount Rainier, altitude
14,410 feet, is from the highway near Tacoma - we couldn't take any photos while in the park because of the weather. There are 26 major glaciers and many beautiful waterfalls - none of which we could see. We hope to return in the summer, when the weather should be better.
