Since we had to change our travel plans to be back in NJ for Irene's surgery by 7/26, our new first stop after leaving Rehoboth Beach DE was St. Michaels- a resort community we've heard so much about over the years, home to the much-touted Inn at Perry Cabin. St. Michael's is very laid back. We enjoyed lunch (soft-shell crab sandwiches and a glass of white wine) at The Town Dock Restaurant while enjoying the view of the marina. We took a long walk around town, then walked down to the dock --- here's a photo of the old lighthouse. Later, we drove over to Tilghman's Island for a look-see.
