The wood throughout the coach is alderwood, in a pretty honey color. Everything is solid wood, one of the main reasons we loved this coach. The counters and the dining table are Corian. There is not as much counter space as we'd like - when you remove the covers over the burners and the double-sink, it lessens the counter dramatically. To the right of the counter is a glass-fronted cabinet for wine glasses, etc., and below is a built-in icemaker (haven't used it in the 9 months we've been on the road). We still make ice cubes the old-fashioned way--- in ice cube trays.
