Sun Records has been called the birthplace of Rock "n" Roll. For die-hard rock & roll fans, visiting Sun Records was indeed a thrill. We were so excited, we both had goosebumps! I'm even getting teary-eyed writing this.
-----I can remember buying the Sun Records "45's" back in the 50's and playing them on my Victrola!
-----And here we are, just like our favorite singers were, in the same recording studio where they recorded our then-favorite songs. Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash --- wow! The desk that "Marion", the secretary, who wanted to give Elvis a chance to record, is still there.
-----You might recognize the picture in the frame on the right - that's a young Ike Turner.
-----This is still a working recording studio - anyone can make a record if they plunk down some money for studio rental.
