Victoria is the capital of British Columbia and is located on beautiful Vancouver Island. We took the 8:20 AM ferry over from Port Angeles WA, which is about one hour from our campground --- we missed the ferry on Monday, 9/16, by ten minutes (more traffic than we thought) and had to do it all again the next morning! The ferry takes about 90 minutes and we did not take our car, which meant that we also had to find parking before we boarded. We took the last ferry home at 7:30 PM, after a delicious Italian dinner at Il Terazzo, a really lovely restaurant in Market Square recommended to us by the guy staffing the Canadian Visitor's Center located in Port Angeles, WA.
All four photos are views of the area where the ferry docks, including a shot of the aforementioned ferry. The beautiful buildings are governments offices. Everything is so clean and there are flowers everywhere - natch, as the British love gardens.
