The highlight of our stay in Bozeman was a visit to the Museum of the Rockies. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the actual costumes from the Star Wars movies and the Star Trek TV show - all were donated by Paul Allen of Microsoft fame.
---They have a wonderful and huge exhibits of dinosaur skeletons, including the one shown here, Big Mike, which was duplicated in metal outside the museum. If you enlarge and read the signpost, you will note that the actual dinosaur bones of Big Mike were discovered by Kathy Wankel of Angela,MT - she accompanied her husband on a fishing trip and, while waiting for him, fiddled in the dirt and discovered some bones! What a find! ----We also really enjoyed their planetarium show - you are seated in a round room, the lights go off, the ceiling (the sky) lights up, and you are treated to a show of the formation of the planets.
