We were eager to see the town of Jackson, WY, elevation 6,234 feet - often called Jackson Hole, but that is really the name of the valley in which the town is located. The airport, though, is actually called Jackson Hole.
Jackson has several nearby ski resorts and attracts millions of tourists each year. It also has attracted several celebrities - Harrison Ford, Sandra Bullock, current VP Dick Cheney, and Tiger Woods, have nearby parttime residences.
