-----Apache Trail, continued

The Apache Trail is a scenic, steep & winding 40- mile long road between Apache Junction, through the Superstition Mtns. and Tonto National Forest to Globe, AZ --- it's mostly unpaved and an arduous ride. It took us about seven hours to traverse the route, including lunch at Tortilla Flat and photo ops. During the trip (in our car, of course), we passed Canyon Lake (photo on upper left, which has a marina). Then, Apache Lake (photo on the right) and Theodore Roosevelt Lake, and the Roosevelt Dam.
