Van Horn, TX - 1/3/08

We came off the interstate, travelling from Big Bend, and stayed overnight at Mountain View RV Park, a Passport America park (50% off) in Van Horn. It wasn't worth more than that, but it was convenient with level sites. Irene went over to talk to our neighbors, Eve & Cameron from California, who were also passing through, and found out that they were going from here right to Mexico.

Since we were eager to learn about travelling to Mexico in an RV, they were very generous with their information, even giving us a postcard with the RV resort in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) where they'd be staying. Puerto Penasco is about 70 miles over the border from Lukeville, AZ. In a few weeks, when we knew our upcoming schedule, we tried, and our daughter, Michele tried, to contact the resort. More later on that. As you can see by the photo on the left, we did get there (but actually stayed at a different RV resort).
