This is the Riverside Hotel & Casino, founded by Don Laughlin, who also founded the town. He started with an 8-room motel, four of which he & his family lived in. He added some slot machines and did very well, despite the fact that his motel was in the middle of nowhere - he very cleverly located it across the narrow Colorado River from Arizona, which didn't have gambling.

His heritage was Irish, and Irene loved the fact that in his really nice antique car musem located in the hotel, he had the actual "Marriage Trap" that was used in her very favorite movie of all time, "The Quiet Man".
