North Beach was always the Italian section and there are certainly a lot of Italian-Americans and Italian restaurants still there. We had dinner at one of them: Calzones.

The main drag through North Beach is Columbus Avenue. North Beach borders Chinatown and also the Financial District. You can see the beautiful TransAmerica building in the upper righthand photo.
