-----San Francisco - the California Palace of the Legion of Honor Museum

We spent several hours at this lovely museum, given to the city of San Francisco by philan-thropists Mr. & Mrs. Adolph Spreckels of the Spreckels sugar fortune. the art is beautiful, with many famous artists represented here.

There is a preponderance of sculpture by the famous Auguste Rodin, including that on the right - one of the ten that he did of the "Thinker". We were lucky to have seen the #1 version in Paris, 25 years ago.
