Because of the great suggestion made by our friends, Daryll & Vickie from Lake Powell, UT, we stayed at McPhee Reservoir, near Dolores, CO. Since this is a US National Forest Service campground, we paid only $7/night for a great site, with a small view of the Reservoir. We had no hookups, but there were services on the way out.

---We were thrilled to enter Colorado! After months of Arizona & then Utah, both of which we loved, with lots of red rock and canyons, we didn't realize how much we missed seeing glorious greenery & magnificent trees!
