-----Lake Powell, continued

---Upper Left: Vickie & Daryll, Irene & Joe, finishing our pasta dinner. Well, except for Daryll - he wanted more! So then we gave him a big doggie bag.
--- Upper Right: Joe & Vickie in 300 ft. of water - they were able to slide off the boat.

---Lower Left: Irene enjoying
the breeze in the front of the boat. Notice the white part of the rock behind her (you'll also notice this in several pix) - this is the high water line, which is aout 80 ft. above the current water level. Lake Powell has not been this high for many years. Due to the rains this past winter, there has been a very good runoff from the canyons and the water level has been rising about 12 inches per day. It is expected that the water level will rise a total of 60 ft., so the floating docks and marinas, as well as Vickie's office, will too! Vickie and Daryll said that normally the water is very clear - however, the constant runoff brings dirt with it, and it takes a while to settle at the bottom and leave the water in a clear condition.
---Lower Right: Irene & Joe floating in their life jackets - Joe didn't believe it when Irene started floating out a little --- she's usually such a chicken (notice, she's the only one wearing a life jacket in the boat). Well, she decided, in for a penny, in for a pound!
