Moab, Utah - 6/13 thru 6/18/08

---Left: Irene in front of the Colorado River.
---Right: the view from our one-night federal ($6 for us) campsite on the Colorado - we were so excited to get it, but the bugs and the lack of electric hookup for our a/c in the 103 degree heat drove us away and back to town to find a private campground with hookups.

---Left: Joe with his pal John.
---Right: a glimpse of one of the many rooms of movie memorabilia at the Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab. The Lodge is built on the old George White Ranch which was a key location for nine of the big western movies, including Rio Grande, Cheyenne Autumn, Ten Who Dared, The Commancheros, and Rio Conchos.
---Some of the other over -100 movies filmed in the Moab / Monument Valley area are: "Thelma & Louise "(1990), "2001 - A Space Odyssey" (1968), "Easy Rider" (1969), "Back to the Future III" (1990), and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" (1988).
