-----It's May and they still have snow. and it's probably 103 in Mesa. -----Zion was inhabited 8000 years ago by small family groups of Native-American people who were ancestors of the Anasazi. They were" basketweavers", semi-nomadic tribes who hunted and who could collect plants and seeds. -----Nomadic tribes used baskets because they were so light-weight. Tribes that stayed put used wood or stone vessels which would have been too heavy to carry around.
We were here about 19 years ago, when Irene was president of American Almond Products and was doing a trade show in Las Vegas. We combined work with pleasure and made a vacation out of it. By the way, we didn't notice any changes!
