Drove around Austin to orient ourselves. Lunch at Pecan Street Cafe downtown. We walked around and loved the cement sidewalk blocks (like the Hollywood Walk of Fame) near the Convention Center- imbedded with names of famous Texians, such as Janis Joplin, Sandra Day O'Conner, etc.

We went to Whole Foods Market flagship store (downtown) - it's their corporate headquarters - and also Central Market, which is similar to Whole Foods (we had heard about this chain from another camper back east and wanted to check it out).
