Well, we finally made it to the great state of Texas. Texas school-children first say the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. flag, then a pledge to the Texas flag?
We stayed at Hickory Creek Campground, a US Army Corps of Engineers Park in Lewisville, TX, about 35 minutes from Dallas, 35 minutes from Ft. Worth, and about 30 minutes from the Dallas airport - this is important because Irene will fly to NJ to visit family during our time here while Joe babysits the coach. We love Corps parks because they are always on water - we were right on Lewisville Lake.
