The River Walk is below the city street level downtown, yet open to above. There are many access points, many restaurants and nightclubs, a few shops, and sites to see. We had lunch (delicious Mexican food), sitting by the water, at the restaurant seen to the right. The River Walk is especially pretty during Christmas time because of the many decorations and the lights hanging from all of the trees as you walk along the banks or ride the boats.
