Del Rio, TX - 12/28 to 12/30/07

This is a border town with a busy crossing into Mexico - we only came here because we had decided to go to Big Bend National Park and this was the suggested easy route. The downtown is blah, with a lot of empty stores. We stayed two nights at the nice Holiday Trav-L RV Park on the outskirts, across the street from a lovely lake. However, the lake was really for boaters and fisherman, and we didn't have a boat!
