On our first night in Fairbanks, we had a great Mexican dinner with our new friends that we met in campgrounds & elsewhere on the road in Canada. This was their last night in Fairbanks and our first - this is the pattern we'll be following the next 2 months - playing leapfrog with them. Our campground offered an oldies car display (they rode around the c'ground) every Wednesday - this was the neatest one this week.
We spent several hours in the really wonderful museum in the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. This stuffed grizzly is 11 ft. tall - glad we met him here & not in the wild!
