---Left: the happy couple, antici-pating brunch.
---Right: another lake view - it's a two-mile walk around the lake, which we did after brunch. We needed the exercise!
---Irene's favorite brunch foods were: oysters, smoked salmon with horseradish sauce, the cheese & nut torte, and the creme brulee.
---Joe's favorite were: cheese biscuits with sausage gravy, the smoked salmon with horseradish sauce, the cheese & nut torte, and all the desserts.
---We spent about twenty minutes looking at all of the photos taken of famous people who have been guests at the hotel. Since the hotel has been in existence for almost 100 years (before that, it was a gambling casino), there are many, many great photos - past presidents, senators, movie & TV personalities (of course, Ronald Reagan fits all those catagories), lots & lots of sports stars, the former Shah of Iran, Olympic athletes, etc. Guest #1 on the Guest Register was John D. Rockefeller.
--Joe was fascinated by the huge collection of empty liquor bottles, some from the early 1800's. When the owners knew that Prohibition was coming, they started stockpiling an enormous amount of expensive and aged liquor, wine, champagne, cognac, etc., before the prohibitionists could destroy it - this way, when Prohibition was repealed, they had lots of the good stuff on hand for their guests.
