Eleven Mile Reservoir State Park, near Lake George CO - 7/7 thru 7/10/08

Left: the view from our campsite - the best we've had yet.
Right: Irene saw an eerie glow out of the window. Joe went out to investigate - look what he found - a magnificent rainbow right over the lake, so close that it was other-worldly.

---Right: He couldn't get the entire rainbow in one shot, so here's the completion of it.
---Left: on closer examination, we realized we were looking at a double-rainbow. We both agreed that this was the most spectacular phenomenon we had ever witnessed.
---The same thing happened again the next afternoon after some rain - we were like two kids running around trying to see where it ended nearby - we even jumped in the car to see if we could follow it, as it appeared so close. Do you think that maybe there really was a pot of gold at the end of it????
